Thinking back to when I was young and the first time I got my hands on a set of turntables, I now realise I fell in love with Djing almost instantly… I had to have done, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent hours upon hours practising, with the only one vinyl track I could afford that first week. I was 14, and would spend any pocket money I earned on Vinyl. With today’s software and technology, new songs and edits, are much more accessible, and it’s much easier to create unique sounds; with my Panasonic CDJ’s, I get to create tricks and mix at speed, never possible in my bedroom all those years ago.

Once I started playing for others, I found a new love for it; I learned how music can bring people to life, bring happiness and create unbelievable memories. This is why, at this sad time, where we are all restricted from being together, and the weddings, birthdays and celebrations are postponed, I still want to DJ. And so each week, I have been providing a live DJ set on Facebook, hoping to continue to help bring happiness and togetherness, until we are able to once again, go out and party!

I want to say a massive thank you, to all the key workers keeping us safe. I’ll try and do my small part, by keeping everyone entertained…at home!
